Grip Engineers introduces electrically operated traveling [EOT] cranes, which moves on the overhead rails. These are manufactured as per ISS: 807 and ISS: 3177 standard and tested to 25 per cent overload. The cranes are either operated from floor by means of pendent pushbutton station or from cabin fitted with the crane. They may be single girder cranes or double girder cranes. For single girder cranes, single bridge girder and an electric wire rope hoist is fitted on the lower flange of bridge girder. I case of double girder cranes, there will be crab [trolley] with 4 nos, double flanged wheels mounted on rail above double bridge girders. The hoisting mechanism like motor gearbox, brake, and rope drum shall be mounted on the crab itself The type of bridge girder [whether single girder or double girder] is determined as per the capacity application and span of crane.
