Hardcastle & Waud Mfg Co Ltd. Manufactures Short Excellent Non-Yellowing Oil DOC Alkyd, BIOLAC 1144. The Short Excellent Non-Yellowing Oil DOC Alkyd provides hardness, scratch proof ness and gloss. It is used in stoving finishes in combination with Butylated amino resins. The Short Excellent Non-Yellowing Oil DOC Alkyd is used in stoving enamels for washing machines, refrigerators and other appliances.
The specifications of the Short Excellent Non-Yellowing Oil DOC Alkyd are as follows:

• Non-Volatiles : 70%±1

• Solvent : Xylene

• Type of alkyd : DCO/Glycerine/Pthallic

• Oil Content : 42-44%

• Acid Value : 15 max

• Color : 11 max [Gardner Scale]

• Viscosity @ 30°C : 100 - 120 secs [50% in Xylene] [FCB4 method]
The Short Excellent Non-Yellowing Oil DOC Alkyd has the following Stoving Schedule:

• Alkyd : Amino

• Stoving time: 150°C for 20 minutes or 120°C for 30 minutes

• Solubility: Soluble in Toluene, Butanol, Cellosolve Acetate, Esters, Genuine Turpentine and Ketones.

• Compatibility: Compatible with glycerin, esterified Rosin - Maleic adduct, ester gum, oil soluble phenolics and spirit soluble maleics. Partly compatible with reduced phenolics.
