Asaco offers the new rgk3-20 rolling ring drive, which is one of the latest highlights of uhing. This rolling ring drive for a shaft diameter of 20 mm, built according to the latest insights, offers uhing quality at a low price. Features: continuous pitch adjustment, automatic reversal, a release lever for freely moving the drive, and maximum corrosion protection. Uhing, in near future, will also offer the rgk 15, a rolling ring drive for a shaft diameter of 15 mm and equipped with the same features as the rgk 20. It has developed the non-contacting flange scanning system fa that automatically adapts the traversing width to the spool used. With the fa, uhing, a manufacturer of mechanical traversing systems and inventor of the rolling ring technology, facilitates the conversion of traversing systems to spools of different widths. The most vital fa component is a light barrier travelling with the traversing system. When one of the spool flanges interrupts the light beam, it sends a signal to have the traversing system pneumatically reversed. Fa is either mounted immediately on the tried and tested uhing rolling ring-traversing system or on an intermediate carriage. The forked light barrier features a forward angle that changes with the direction of the traversing system. This compensates for system-inherent switch-over delays. At constant coil speeds, the signal is processed by a simple relay circuit while a plc is used where the coil speed reduces with a constant material speed. Uhing accessories are the gs, a wire guiding system, uhing easylock shaft collars with adjustable clamping force to secure spools on shafts and the u-clip, an easy clamping system to fix spools on shafts.
