Product Profile of Elastosof Silicone

Britacel are manufacturers of specialty silicones. Elastosof is a silicone elastomer, which imparts softness and elastomeric feel to all kinds of fabrics. Elastosof in combination with a suitable catalyst also gives durable water repellency. Their salient features are as follows:

• Elastosof because of its small particle size imparts soft hand and elastomeric feel to all kinds of fabrics.

• Elastosof does not affect the shade or fastness properties of the finished fabric.

• Milky liquid in appearance

• Flowable liquid, organic silicone odour

• Specific gravity at 25 deg c is 0.99-1.05

• Ph of the product lies between 6 and 8

• Elastosof when used with a suitable catalyst gives durable water repellency to all kinds of fabrics.

Elastosof is generally applied by the padding method.
