The compression moulding presses have tubular heating elements, electronic temperature indicator-cum-controllers with hi-lo set points, timer, multiple daylight, hand lever or push button direction control valve, up stroking gravity return ram, etc. It is possible to operate more than one press with a single power pack depending upon the curing time for the compound used in the moulds which have long life and are not likely to get outmoded since no change is expected in the manufacturing process in the foreseeable future. These compression moulding presses are used for manufacturing various products from natural and synthetic rubber, such as hydraulic and pneumatic seals in different shapes, rubber-metal bonded mounting pads, profiles, couplings, buffers, ink rollers, diaphragms, gaskets, washers, and numerous other industrial and automobile components. The double column frame is fabricated from single solid steel plates without joints, with windows cut out to admit moving platens. The platens are drilled to receive tubular heating elements and duly insulated from the frame to prevent conduction of heat.
