Fabrication/ cast iron depending on the application. The pinion shafts are made of en-24 forged alloy steel and the gears of en-9 forged carbon steel. The teeth can be single helical / double helical which are hob cut with proper profile to ensure correct matching and minimum vibrations during running. The gears can also be hardened and ground on requirement.
