Cup down mills are specially designed for use in manufacture of high-grade cutlery. It is used to reduce the thickness of the cupping/ front portion of spoon/ fork/ knife, which reduces the weight of the front portion and hence balances the piece. In this mill, unlike the conventional rolling mills, the rolling is done on the edges of the roll through a gap in the window. The mills are heavy capable of rolling down ss202 grade also. The rolls are made of en-31 forged alloy steel for cold rolling and hot die steel for hot rolling.
