4 hi cold rolling mills are heavy-duty machines designed for fast reduction of ferrous/ non-ferrous sheet and strip. The mill can be of either work roll drive or back-up roll drive depending on the rolls, which are driven. In case the drive is given to the two back up rolls, the mill is called a back up roll driven mill which is suitable for finer/ thinner gauges and in case the drive is given to the two work rolls, the mill is called a work roll driven mill which is suitable for heavier gauges/ thicker material.
