4 hi / 5hi hot rolling mills for stainless steel flats are heavy duty mills specifically designed for fast reduction of stainless steel flats. The two backup rolls are made of adamite/en-31 forged alloy steel and the three work rolls are made of en-9/en-31 forged alloy steel. The drive to the work roll is given through a combination of gearbox - pinion stand and coupling spindle assembly. The mill is provided with forced lubrication system for bearing housing. Normally the mill can take in an input thickness of up to 12-16 mm and a minimum output thickness of 1.4 mm.
