Indian core oil, since 1967, manufactures various types of foundry chemicals; this cover flux is parts of those foundry chemicals. It is used for cleaning aluminum and its alloys at molten form. Due to heavy oxidation of aluminum during melting there is high rate of casting rejection. It is also results into metal loss. Cover flux helps to dissolves this oxide and other non-metallic impurities from the molten metal.
