The product has passed type tests based on iec 60571 standard and is used in rail vehicles and urban transportation systems under extreme operating conditions. The following are its distinct features:
1. aluminium alloy housing conforming to ip 68 with mounting flange and removable cover.
2. suitable to withstand extreme mechanical and thermal stresses encountered in traction vehicles.
3. axle driven by means of a driving fork.
4. carrier plate designed to hold up to 5 optical sensors.
5. convenient electrical phase shifting of output signals by adjusting the position of the sensors.
6. code disc with 1 or 2 tracks for generating pulse frequency between 1 and 200. Discs with special codes are also available.
Two types of pulse generators are available depending upon the application requirements:
1. standard pulse generator with single/dual sensors.
2. customised pulse generator with up to 5 sensors, different interface connector, cable lengths, etc.
It provides the electrical output corresponding to wheel rotation for systems, like wheel slip/slide control system, speed indicator cum recording system, locomotive control system, etc.
