These force gauges find its main application for quick and accurate measurement of breaking strength of textile yarn, wire on paper, etc. These are portable handheld instruments that work on 6 v rechargeable batteries. They can also be mounted on test stands [vertical or horizontal], so that tensile or compression tests can be carried out on variety of materials, for e.G. Needle penetration, needle removal force from hub, paper, adhesion test [seal bond strength], foam, rubber and springs, with suitable fixtures. Some of the salient features include force measurement up to 10 kg with accuracy of ± 1 per cent of full scale and resolution of 10 gms; force indication on alphanumeric backlit lcd display with selectable engineering units in kg, gms, kn, n, lbs or cn; and operation on 6 v rechargeable batteries supplied with battery charger.
