M b control & systems has introduced power monitoring system [pm295] with disturbance and harmonics analysis. This advanced and high accuracy [0.2%] power meter is suitable to monitor electrical parameters and disturbance in the power lines. It gives display of all the three-phase electrical parameters, ie, voltages, currents, unbalanced current, power factor, active power [kw], reactive power, apparent power [kva], active energy [kwh], reactive energy, apparent energy, frequency, maximum amps demand, reactive energy [kvah], returned energy, % total harmonic distortion. Power meter [pm295] also offers up to 512 k-b on-board non-volatile memory. This memory is usable for logging electrical parameters, internal-external events and wave forms. Depending on external or internal triggers, wave forms can be stored. It can store up to sixteen cycles before or after the trigger. This enables disturbance analysis of the power lines. These stored waveforms can be viewed and plotted by using pc and the software available. The pm295 gives harmonic analysis till 39th harmonic, four relay outputs, eight potential-free inputs, sixteen set points, eight energy registers, real time clock and calendar, eight counters, four timer counters and serial rs-232/422/485 interface.
