M b control & systems has introduced intelligent power factor regulators [model 806 and 812]. The unit gives six-step power factor regulation for model 806 or twelve-step power factor regulation for model 812. It also displays three-phase voltage, current, power factor, frequency, and temperature. This unit has facility of alarm set points [high and low] for each of the above parameters. The alarm relay output can be used to generate alarm if any parameter exceeds the set limit. Parameters like ct ratio, delay time and alarm set points [via front panel keys] can be encoded in the unit at site.. The programmed data is stored in non-volatile memory of the unit, even after power is switched off. The intelligent power factor regulation unit gives alarm for improper phase sequence and failure of capacitor bank. This panel mounting [panel cutout 138 x 138 mm, depth 93 mm] intelligent regulator is enclosed in a strong abs plastic case. It is suitable for operation in up to 60°c ambient temperature.
