Arwa electronics produces and supplies ac series motors with unique field system. It has complete laminated core and the field winding is distributed over the core slots. The absence of salient poles restricts even a narrow air-gap to form. High resistance carbon is used to manufacture the brushes. Only two commutator segments can be connected with one brush. It has speed torque feature, which is alike with the dc motors. Frame, laminated stator, armature, end shield, carbon holder and brushes form the main part of the motors. The frame comprises ms plate has sufficient size to hold the laminated core. The armature is also same as dc motor and connections are brought out on the commutator. The bearings of the armature rocker ring can be held by the end shields. The carbon brushes are holders adjusted with the end shields. The brushes are placed on the commutators. Connections are brought out on the terminal box. A main switch and starter enable ac single-phase supply to the motor.
