Mellcon offers dew point apparatus, which is the most cost-effective, simple, perfect system for spot checking of dew point temperature of any compressed air/gas. The dew point apparatus contains a closed cylindrical glass with two chrome-plated tubes, a low range thermometer [-50 to +40°c] and a dry ice maker. Air/gas enters into cylindrical glass through one chrome plated tube and exhausts. The other chrome-plated tube of the dew point apparatus is centrally placed in the cylindrical glass and the thermometer is mounted in it. In this mellcon dew point apparatus dry ice [solid co2] is prepared with the help of dry ice maker and a co2 gas cylinder. Some ether/acetone is poured in the chrome plated tube containing the thermometer and then dry ice pieces are put in this liquid to reduce the wall temperature of the chrome plated tube present in the mellcon dew point apparatus. After reaching a particular temperature the dew frost begins to form on the walls of the tube and the same temperature can be noted from the thermometer fitted with the mellcon dew point apparatus. This is regarded as the dew point temperature of that particular gas or air.
