Polyband expander is the latest attraction from arvind rub web controls ltd. It is an anti-crease device. It removes wrinkles from webs like bopp, polypropylene, vinyls,polyethylene, polyester, foil and other converting web materials. The main body of the expander consists of aluminum with concave slots mounted on the shaft. Within the slots are individual elastic cords fastened at both ends to a ball bearing mounted eccentric cam mechanism. Each elastic cord stretches across the full width of the sheet applying a perpendicular force to the covering web. The cord releases when the expander rotates. The expander is light in construction and free running bearings permit easy, smooth and maintenance free operation. The complete assembly is adjustable while the same is running. This expander has no rapid mechanical movement due to its unique operating principle. It gives best result on light/thin web materials.
