Bharat electronics manufactures tank intercom system, r-174 [mk ii]. It is developed keeping in mind russian equipment, r-174. It is used for inter-communication between crew members of tank as well as with other tank crew members through radio. This system is compatible with various radios like cnr, stars-v and tadiran. This system is equipped with main control unit, ac34, operator`s control unit, ac35, matching amplifier unit, ac37, line communication unit, ac38 and chest switch, mh1. This system comes with following salient features:

• External two way communication among any three radio stations

• Internal two way communication between up to six users.
