Rugged Laptop Computer is a product of Bharat Electrical. The product Rugged Laptop Computer is designed for the user in the military, industrial and other harsh environments. The Rugged Computer enables Defence Organizations to process secure military data while operating in harsh environmental conditions. Rugged laptop computer is designed around Pentium based system with two serial ports [RS-232], one parallel port, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface, hard disk interface, Floppy disk interface, CDROM drive, LCD display interface, 56Kbps Modem, Standard keyboard and pointing device. Rugged Laptop Computer operates with a nominal input of 12 V DC supply, but also has a battery back up to support the operations in the field conditions. The operating system in Rugged Laptop Computer is Windows 2000. In addition, provision is provided for PCMCIA type-II slots with the strain relief system. Rugged Laptop Computer has a flexible design that makes upgrades and maintenance simple. Rugged Laptop Computer is ideal for use in applications where a harsh or vibration -prone environment would prohibit the use of a standard commercial laptop computer.
