High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line equipment provides 64 kbps Channels, supporting Voice, Fax and Data services while matching fiber quality transmission performance. A complete High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line system consists of two terminal equipment called central office Terminal [COT] and 2/3 nos. Of Remote Terminals [RT] connected by 2/3 pairs of wire. The A2 /B2 category supports point-to-multi point transportation of 30 channels of 2W POTs, Hotlines and 64 kbps Co directional circuits. Category A2 utilizes a two pairs duplex operating system transporting at a bit rate of 1168 kbps bi-directionally over each of the two pairs in parallel while category B2 utilizes a three pairs duplex operating system with a reduced bit rate of 784 kbps transported bi-directionally over each of the three pairs in parallel.
