Serum Institute of India Ltd, a group company of Poonawalla Group also manufactures Tetanus Anti-toxin and Anti-snake Venom serum, DTP [Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis] group of Vaccines and MMR [Measles, Mumps and Rubella] group of vaccines. The Measles, Mumps and Rubella Virus Vaccine is used for active immunization in children of 12 months to 12 years of age against Measles, Mumps and Rubella infections. The Measles, Mumps and Rubella Virus Vaccine is prepared from live attenuated strains of Edmonston-Zagreb Measles virus propagated on human diploid cell culture, L-Zagreb Mumps virus propagated on chick embryo fibroblast cells and Wistar RA 27/3 Rubella virus propagated on human diploid cell culture.
