The transformer has primary current rating between 1.8 to 2 times the rated capacitor banks current. Its high tension voltage has 3.3, 6.6, 11, 22 & 33 kV, 3 Ph. It is also available in dry type transformer.

The applications of Oil Filled Current Transformer with Low Tension 440V are as follows:

• To read the incoming line currents

• To trip the controlling CB in case of unbalanced line current due to short grounding. The CT is designated here as CBCT.

• To operate the neutral unbalanced current relay flowing through the connected between two floating neutrals of two balanced capacitor sub-banks.
