Electronics Corporation of India Limited manufactures Ship Installed Radiac System. Electronics Corporation of India Limited is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. The Ship Installed Radiac System is used to monitor gamma radiation in and around the naval ship and to provide an early warning and a full appreciation of radiological hazard to the ship.
The Ship Installed Radiac System is of two types; Central Indicating Assembly and External Indicating Assembly.
The Central Indicating Assembly with built-in power supply, to be housed in NBCD Headquarters, contains all input, output and processing hardware with CPU, memory, an array of seven segment LEDs for display and a control Keyboard. The External Indicating Assembly will be bulk-head unit to be mounted in wheel House and command Shelter. The unit receives and displays the two important Above the Deck air dose rate channel information identical to that in central unit and also provides local alarms.
