Mikron provide several models of snap action automatic and manual reset disc thermal cutouts. Designed for industrial, electronics and domestic electrical appliances such as vacuum cleaners, storage water geysers, coffee machines, electric kettles, food warmers, rice cookers, copying machines, microwave ovens, dish washers, electric blankets, heating pads, defrosters, thyristors, motors, vulcanizing machines, heat sinks, welders and where precise control of temperature is required. They are rated at 6 A, 8 A, 10 A and 16 A 250 V AC, and cover temperature range of 60°C to 150°C. The thermal response system operates by means of a snap action bimetal disc. The switch system is current insensitive and reacts to external thermal load. The snap action ensures chatter-free operation, high switch performance and long service life. These are available in normally in NC or NO contacts.
