Sigmet offers a more economical version of magnetic float based liquid level transducer. The principle on which this indicator works is a magnetic float, changing the resistance of a sealed circuit, in proportion to the liquid level. Following are some technical features of this liquid level indicator which include:advantage of the system is that it works with only two wires between sensor and indicator and carries very low signal current which enables the system to be used more economically in installations where the distance between level sensor and the display unit is great and hence a voltage type transducer cannot be used. The construction of wetted parts can be from plastic, brass or ss, as per the nature of liquid into which it has to work. Liquifloat can be supplied as a simple display instrument at an economical price. It is also available as a level indicating controller for filling up of overhead tank from a sump or through a bore-well pump. Liquifloat fits ideally to semi-buried or underground reservoirs, to which pressure type level sensors, cannot be fixed. This indicator finds its applications in: water and other liquid chemicals stored in open or closed vessels, whose temperature does not exceed 90°c and the pressure is less than 3 bar.
