The air classifier system designed by rsg inc, of usa, is a screen less separator classifying powders from 100 mesh [125-micron] to 1000 mesh [5-micron]. The design is based on fluid dynamics. At first the material to be separated enters the separator through the bottom inlet and is sucked upwards over the rotor guide, which has an adjustable speed drive. The selector control wheel allows the operator to shift from one separation to another according to the requirement. Material of pre-selected fineness is carried from the upper outlet duct into the cyclones. Further finer separation of powder is released into the dust collector. Through lower outlet duct the oversize rejected material is discharged to the bottom. An improved twin rotor discharge design based on advanced seal technology provides higher efficiency with less power consumption. The air classifier has a horizontal shaft supported by outboard bearings that improves both cut and yield and permits the bearings to be replaced without dismantling the rotor. High temperature operation is allowed by the outboard bearings. The feed can be fitted mechanically or conveyed pneumatically into the classifier, simplifying materials handling components. The internal seal is removed by the rotary discharge design passing through a zone of atmospheric air. The natural air purge system of the air classifier makes oversize leakage impossible resulting in cleaner top size cuts. The advanced air classifier can be fitted to a grinding mill or stand-alone feeding. The air classifier is available with open circuit and closed circuit systems. The classifier separator`s capacities range from 25 kg/hr to 5,000 kg/hr. The machine can manage a wide range of dry materials like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastic, cement, lime, pigments, fillers, ceramics, dyes, resins, insecticides, foods, flour, minerals such as mica, dolomite, calcium carbonate, silica, etc.
