Metacon engineers manufactures a compact heat treatment furnace for hardening of tool and die steel. This compact heat treatment furnace is a stand-alone type with a hardening chamber above and a tempering chamber below it. The quench oil tank is mounted on castors and fits under the tempering chamber and can be pulled out during quenching. The compact heat treatment furnace can accommodate a die of maximum 400 mm diameter and 80 mm height. It is electrically heated and is designed to operate at optimum power consumption. The maximum temperature achievable is 1100ºc in hardening and 600ºc in tempering. There is a provision for introducing inert gas in the hardening chamber of the compact heat treatment furnace. The compact size makes the product ideally suited for small and medium sized tool rooms and also for small batch production of components. The compact heat treatment furnace is available in 3 models. The company also manufactures standard and custom built furnaces for temperatures up to 1500ºc, for metallurgical and ceramic applications.
