Comp air treatment system offers moisture separators and filters. These are mechanical units, which are installed in the compressed air and gas systems, to separate the condensed moisture. This separated moisture can be either manually or automatically drained. The moisture separators are pressures vessels made of steel and can withstand any pressure. These are maintenance-free except daily draining and are simple to install. Comp air moisture separators are available in various capacities ranging from 10 to 6000 cfm at various working pressures. They are suitable for pipelines from 15 mm nb onwards. These moisture separators are of two types: centrifugal and centrifugal cum demister pad type. In centrifugal type, the air [or gas] enters the moisture separators tangentially. This gives a centrifugal action to the air [or gas], which is further ensured by veins incorporated in the separator. Due to the centrifugal action, the moisture droplets are thrown on to the walls of the moisture separators; this moisture runs along the wall and gets collected at the bottom from where it could be drained; and the air free from condensed moisture enters the inner pipe and leaves the moisture separators. Centrifugal cum demister pad type: in this separator in addition to the centrifugal action the air will pass through a demister pad; thus the fine moisture droplets which may not be separated by the centrifugal action will be blocked by the demister pad; and it will move along the wall of the inner pipe and drop to the bottom of the separator.
