Pro-aid engineers have developed bin vibrators which impart vibration to hoppers, silos and tanks on which they are fitted, to ease the release of materials such as powders, granules and components from these vessels. In many of the vessels, materials get clogged/retained by arching [interlocking] and rat holing due to properties of the materials/geometry of the vessels. Imparting vibrations to such vessels will eliminate/reduce substantially problems associated with flows. This improves process conditions by increasing capacity, avoiding product degradation, reducing power requirements and avoiding incomplete/non uniform processing. The vibrator is available with or without voltage regulator to suit continuous or intermittent service respectively. It operates on 230 v ac single phase supply and the power consumption is less than 80 w. The system is ideally suited for: food/pharmaceutical industries for handling fine powders with high cohesive strength and coarse and coarse/irregular shaped granules; engineering industries for handling components having interlocking properties; and chemical industries for handling fine powders such as pigments, additives and precipitates.
