Elscint automation supplies vibratory bowl feeders for feeding of fins. A bowl is designed with least amount of changeover which accommodated all the three fins. Two bowl feeders are supplied, one clockwise while the other being anti-clockwise, easch feeding one fin each. A very long gravity chute of 3 metres is provided to take the fins from the bowl feeder to the welding fixture of the customer. Maximum size of the fins is 60 mm [w] x 120 mm [l] while the minimum size is 15 mm [w] x 30 mm [l]. Thickness ranges from 0.8 mm to 3 mm. Hinges and knobs are provided on the same side at strategic locations to ensure that the operator can see the component level as well as top up the bowl feeder. In addition to this, a low level indicator is provided on the control panel to ensure that the operator is made aware if the level of components in the vibratory parts feeder reduces. As there is always a difference between the input frequencies of the two, a frequency controller is provided to maintain constant output frequency and voltage. The vibratory feeders are ce approved, and conform to stringent european safety standards.
