Sgg spider glass has been approved by the french technical instruction number 6/97-1114. Sgg spider glass is a bolted glass assembly, developed by saint-gobain glass, which secures the glazing to a support structure by means of articulated point-fixings. Sgg spider glass combines lightness of visible structure, safety and high performance to produce flush, transparent all-glass assemblies. Sgg spider glass is available as monolithic single-glazing, sgg stapid protect laminated single-glazing or as double-glazing, incorporating sgg climalit or sgg climaplus double-glazed units. The operating principle behind sgg spider glass relies on the articulated bolts absorbing forces caused by the self-weight of the glazing and wind loads.
