Orion electronics offers isolated process control signal conditioners, dataforth scm7b. These are low cost modules that provide a single channel of isolated analogue input or output. Input modules interface to all types of external sensors. The input modules filter, isolate, amplify and convert input signals into high-level analogue voltage outputs. The output modules receive high-level analogue voltage signals from host computer system, then buffer, isolate and amplify before providing process current outputs to field devices. These modules operate with variation of 14 to 35 v supply, and have input protection of 120 rms continuous 1500 v isolation. The accuracy is 0.05% and cmr 160 db. They include 5-pole low pass filtering and low drift input circuitry. There over 60 different modules come with a wide selection of functions including voltage and current in narrow and wide bandwidths, thermocouples, rtds, and strain gauge models.
