Introduced by universal machine tools corporation the precision lathe is an innovative invention. The bed is cell ground and also lapping after the grinding operation. The main spindle is made from en 8 alloy steel and is supported on precision taper roller bearings or on brass bearings. It has a close type apron with oil sump, fitted with bronze metal bush/ gears/bearings, for easy operatio .Surfacing and sliding feeds can be engaged by tightening a star knob and enticing lever at appropriate position. The tailstock spindle is internal taper mt-4. The machines are available from length of bed - 5"-20", height of centre - 10" and flame hardened bed.
