Wilden supplies a complete line of air-operated double diaphragm pumps. In this type of pumps, compressed air is applied directly to the liquid column separated by elastomer diaphragms. This balanced load removes the mechanical stress from the diaphragms to allow high heads and thousands of hours of diaphragm life. The pumping volume is controlled by easy inlet air adjustments, from a few gallons per hour to over fourteen thousand gallons per hour with the same unit. Other advantages are: easily handles abrasives/viscous slurries with high solid content; ability to run dry without damage; requires no pressure relief or by-pass valve; explosion resistant; completely submersible; no shaft seals or gland packings of any kind; and easy and low maintenance. The metallic type pumps are made with wetted parts in aluminium, cast iron, ss 316 and hastelloy. Non-wetted airside parts are available in: aluminum, ss 316 and polypropylene. Elastomers are available in neoprene, buna n, nordel, viton, hypalon, polyurethane, saniflex, wilflex, or patented wilden teflon. There are various models, not all models available with all the options.
