M r k engineers has manufactured thermalert mi, a two piece infrared temperature measurement system with miniature sensing head and separate electronics. The sensor is small enough to be installed just about anywhere, yet it performs as well as much larger systems. And the mi electronics consists of adjustable emissivity and selectable peak hold, valley hold and averaging features, which are not normally found in systems in this price range. It is specially designed for applications where the target temperature is in the 0 to 500â°c range, the sensor is housed in a rugged stainless steel enclosure to ensure long term performance even in harsh industrial environment with ambient temperature up to 85â°c. Although the mi is small in size, it still has the features one needs with a choice of 2:1 or 10:1 optics and users selectable output signal. And the response time as fast or faster than many high end systems. The miniature size and low cost make it ideal for installation at multi-points along the process. The system is accurate, easy-to-install and affordable.
