Kavitsu transmissions pvt ltd introduces shaftmounted speed reducers that are used in conveyors in industries and plants. These speed reducers are offered in three different ratios, such as 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1. They are designed in eight different models. Depending on the size the speed reducers can transmit power up to 175 hp maximum with ratio of 5:1 and up to 75 hp maximum with ratios of 13:1 or 20:1. The speed reducers come with solid shafts on input side to mount pulleys and hollow output shafts to permit gear boxes to be placed directly on the driver shafts. This helps foolproof alignment fo gear boxes and avoids quick and easy adjustment by means of turnbuckles . Case carburised and ground gears assure proper load rating and erformances. Provision is made to take in a backstop to avoid reversal of rotation. The adoption is very easy . Special care is taken in case of designing and adopting oil seals, because of which, these speed reducers can show their trouble-free performances in severe applications, like taconite mining, rock processing, fertiliser plants, etc.
