To construct assembly systems, tthese modular systems can also be combined with rotary tables and feeding systems, to construct assembly systems. An example is the integrated robotic water pump seal assembly station,irwas. This station , which assembles pump seals using modular pick & place units. Following are some of the technical features of this system: the station comprises of two parts, viz, a main assembly station and a sub assembly station. The sub assembly station assembles tthe cover assembly part is assembled by the sub assembly station, which integrates the cover with a rubber seal and a sintered iron ring. The cover assembly, assembled on a rotary table, is transferred to the main assembly station, by a modular pick & place system.
