The system is equipped with three robotic pick and place system, an aligner unit, a crimp tester unit and an unloading unit. The assembly operation engages assembly of four parts, viz, a top cover, a bottom cover, ptc assembly, and a pin bridge. It involves critical operations like lead straightening of ptc leads which are flimsy and inserting a pin bridge, with leads entering into small tubes of the pin bridge.. It also helps crimping the ptc leads to the pin bridge to the ptc leads, and inspection for proper crimping. This microprocessor-based system is completely failing proof with auto diagnosis system with error indicator in case of any malfunctioning. This highly dependable assembly station can assemble approximately 40,000 components/day.
