Jenco valves mfg co manufactures pilot pressure poppet type of solenoid valves which operate by energising the solenoid coil. The pilot pressure is obtained either from self or external fluid supply. These solenoid valves can be operated manually by a push button which enables a] direct testing of connected equipment without energising the electrical circuit b] emergencies to be taken care of due to power failure. For single solenoid valves the signal [solenoid] must be held continuously as long as actuation is desired while double solenoid valves need only a momentary presence of signal for actuation. These solenoid valces can operate at a high frequency of 500 cycles per minute and are preferred for operation of cylinders, diaphragm actuators, etc, for long life. The size of valve should be proper with cylinder diameter, stroke and speed desired. 2-port valves are used for opening and closing of fluid flow.
