Digital power and energy savers [coolarts-sb] introduced by gautam enterprises, are sensor-based controllers that automatically switches on/off fan motors placed on top of the cooling towers, w ith respect to temperature of the water. This temperature is sensed with a 2 long sensor fitted onto the water tank below the cooling tower. The fan motor runs for the needed time only. Unnecessary running of fan motors are thus avoided thereby saving power, energy and water. This results frequent savings without affecting the cooling efficiency. Savings are to the tune of up 70 per cent. These saving specifically increase during night winter shifts season, when the load on cooling tower is less. The operation is completely automatic. There is a display of water temperature its features include: facility to individually set motor on/off temperature; built-in water level controllers; facility to set hooter warning temperatures; and built in hour meter to calculate confirms and monitor the savings. The instruments can be fixed with existing starting starter and motor configuration and are apt for any capacity of motors.
