These ultra capacitors are compact in size and can store much higher amount of energy than conventional capacitors, while also being able to deliver at a much higher power than batteries. These capacitors come with capacitance range of up to 2700 farads and can release energy at both high and low rate. The ultra capacitors function well in cold weather, down to -40ºc, whereas without heating the batteries do not operate well below 0ºc. They are extremely safe because a pack with equalisation is discharged overnight. The ultra capacitors have a long life cycle, basically built to last the time of the machine into which they are incorporated. They are more efficient than batteries, 84 to 95 per cent as compared to average of below 70 per cent for batteries in this application. The ultra capacitors are very earth-friendly as they are 70 per cent recyclable and do not include any heavy metals which are detrimental to the environmental.
