Key Features of Low Volatility Heat Treatment Quenching Oil
- Is blended from solvent refined base oil with specially selected additives that facilitate fast quenching through proper and controlled cooling facility
- Available with chemical and oxidation stability
- Ensures low volatility and has excellent thermal properties
- Ideal for different types of quenching operations on wide variety metallic parts
- High speed quenching oil blended from highly refined paraffinic base oils and unique additives
- Ideal for optimizing heat resistance to the oxidation and to adhere to the surface of the working piece by providing bright finish due to reduced sludge forming tendencies with minimum distortion
- Exhibits excellent thermal stability, retains its original viscosity in normal service
- Has high flash point to minimize fire hazards
- Made of specially selected additives for marquenching applications
- Ensures excellent oxidation and thermal stability
- Has also good chemical stability
- High boiling points and low volatility
- High flash and fire points
- Non-flammable polymeric quenchants which are an aqueous solution of liquid organic polymers with biocides and antifoaming additives, but without nitrite corrosion inhibitor.
- This colourless homogeneous solution separates from water as an insoluble phase [inverse solubility] at temperature above 74degree C.
- When hot metal is quenched in a diluted solution of Synquench fluid/ oil, a film of the liquid organic polymer is deposited on the surface of the hot metal.
- The rate at which the metal is cooled is governed, in part, by the thickness of the polymer - rich film.
- The thickness of this film is controlled by the concentration of the quenchant in the quench bath.
- The cooling rate is controlled by adjusting the quench bath temperature and the rate of agitation.
