Ravika instruments supplies a variety of dead-weight testers applied in calibration of pressure gauges and other sensing, transmitting and recording pressure instruments. Dead-weight testers use the relationship between pressure acting on the known area of a vertically free floating piston generating a force balanced by known dead weight. The process of calibration is done against instruments of accuracy 10.025% and 10.07% certified and characterized by national physical laboratory, new delhi, applying cross float method. The tester`s key component is screw pump to produce pressure in the circuit of sufficient capacity operated by a spoked handle that allows trouble-free and accurate setting of pressure. There are also high pres-sure dead weight testers, which are provided with a lever operated priming pump. In these testers free piston assembly of special steel, hardened, tempered, ground and lapped to accurate size and very fine surface finish, offers true floating action. A set of weights directly marked in convenient values of pressure and easily stacked on the weight carrier, which is screwed on to the free piston, is included. This is mounted on a sturdy base plate supplied with leveling screws. A sheet metal cover covers the entire circuit of the tester.
