Radio equipment company introduces a computerised measurement system. It is a computerised data acquisition system for sqc need. In this system, a specially designed multiplexer card is connected to the serial port of a pc. Various types of high precision gauges like dial gauge, temperature controllers, weighing balances and multimeters, are preferably to be connected to the pc through the multiplexer card. Data acquisition through these instruments can be programmable or user initiated. The software creates tabulated reports and graphs, which includes run chart, control chart, histogram, and value of cp, cpc and sigma. The analysis can be done shift-wise, day-wise, monthly, or yearly. The system can be hooked up in the lan so that all the information is available at any node in a factory. This system is mainly used by battery manufacturers, soaps and chemicals, engineering industries, food products and packaging industries.
