Meco instruments has made a new addition to its series of hand-held digital instruments - the meco 4500 clamp-on power and power factor meter. This portable and compact instrument is capable of measuring several electrical parameters in all types of electrical networks i.E. 3ø4 w, 3ø3 w, 1ø2 w and 1ø3 w. This auto ranging and auto detection instrument is designed to measure in both ac and dc circuits directly up to 2000 k w [3ø]/1200 k w [1ø] without the need to even disconnect the loads. The large high contrast lcd display shows dual parameters at a time, i.E., kw+pf, v+hz, a+hz, kva+kvar, phase indication and phase angle. Meco 4500 clamp-on power/power factor meter can measure up to 600 v ac, 800 v dc, 2000 a ac/dc, power factor and trms values. The flash memory inside this instrument can store up to 4 records o f the measured parameters. Over-load indication, data hold facility, 55 mm jaw opening are some of the features that add to the convenience and the utility of this instrument. This compact and lightweight instrument is handy for onsite measurement, energy audit, data recording, qc testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the entire plant.
