British electricals offer 2-wire head-mounted transmitter rtr-2. The rtr-2 is a non-isolated two-wire transmitter which converts the measuring signal of a pt-100 into a standardised load-independent, 4-20 ma current which is linearly proportional to the measured temperature. The rtr-2 transmitter is provided with excellent load resistance compensation and pt-100 linearisation conforming to bs-1904 characteristics. Calibration is performed by a dip switch array for the coarse range setting and two [zero and span] multi-turn potentiometers which are used for the final fine-tuning. For complete safety, the potentiometers and the switch array are located behind the top cover. The rtr-2 is housed in a metal enclosure fitting into din b connection heads. Because of this enclosure this has good rfi immunity. Rtr-2 is certified as intrinsically safe according to cenelec eexia-iic-t6 standard, allowing the transmitter to be used in zone 0 areas when connected via an approved barrier.
