Subtronics have offered gas detectors which is approved and certified by cmri, dhanbad. They conform to is: 2148-1981 and 2147-1962 [ip-55 protection]. These gas detectors are suitable for lpg, hydrogen, acetylene, hydrocarbons, carbon-monoxide, methane, smoke, hexane, h2s, organic and inorganic solvents, vapours and 300 other gases. These are available in two types: general purpose and selective. Selective detects only hydrogen/co/smoke even if the mixture of other gases are present. Gas detector type flp-1 is suitable for hazardous and flammable atmosphere and it comes in two versions: three-wire system and four-wire system. Four-wire gas detector is specially designed to protect it from pick-up of spikes/surges. Its cables are able to run parallel or cross to the mains-wires. It does not give false alarms. This is not guaranteed in case of three-wire gas detector.
