Micromac instruments company has designed manometers with several special new features. The scales used in the manometers are of anodized metal screen printed and laminated, that can be used even in extreme corrosive atmosphere. The aim behind using these metallic screen printed scales is mainly to maintain the same accuracy for any number of manometers, which is not possible in plastic scales as well as in engraved metallic scales. The engraving on plastic scales differs from one scale to the other. Moreover, plastic has greater co-expansion, due to which the scales cannot maintain the accuracy in different temperatures. On the other hand, co-expansion of metal is negligible. Some more advantages in of these manometers are that the u-tube manometers are provided with two different units of scales [scales having print on both sides], while the single tube manometers are provided with four different units of scales [scales have two prints on the front and two at the back]. Both these manometers have special zero index so that in case of reversing the scales, one need not have to equalize the instrument for zero checking. The scales can be removed and reversed online without dismantling the glass tube.
