The product assures higher current rating permits to select lower size of xlpe cable. Advantages of these insulated cables: higher current rating permits to select lower size of xlpe cable compared to pvc cables; higher short circuit rating than pvc cables; resistance to heat deformation while pvc is prone to heat deformation; low dielectric loss; and lighter weight considering lower overall diameter. Construction of insulated cables: the conductors are insulated with xlpe [cross link poly ethylene] by extrusion process. Core identification, inner sheath, armour and outer sheath are the same as per pvc cables.
