Product Profile of Large Dc Motors

Integrated electric company private limited is the manufacturer of large dc motors. These motors are dynamically balanced to minimize vibrations. Stators are built from laminations to ensure that the machines exhibit good dynamic response, and are suitable for converter supply. The features of the large dc motors are as follows.

• Conformity to bs5000, is4722 and nema specifications.

• Cooling - ic06, ic41, ic0666, ic17, ic37, icw37a86

• Enclosure - ip23, ip23r/44s, ip44, ip54, ip55.

• All windings are vacuum pressure impregnated.

• On request tropical treatment can be provided.

• Commutators are of mica v-ring construction.

• Shafts can withstand 8 times the full load torque.

• Terminal boxes are generously sized and can be placed on the right hand or left hand side.

• Roller bearings are provided in the non-commutator end and ball bearings are provided on the commutator end.

• Heat exchanger machines have make up filters to ensure dust free operation.

• Blowers are protected by air-flow switches to ensure that the machines do not run without cooling.

• Thermisters are provided for temperature protection of mainpole and interpole windings.

• Special mechanical requirements of mounting, shaft extension [tandem sets, tapered shafts etc.] and cooling not listed in this brochure can be provided on request.
